Colombia is a beautiful country. It’s full of incredible places and there are so many things to do! The views are breathtaking, the food is delicious and you can have a great time exploring the country by yourself or with others. The people here are friendly, too! I think it’s one of the best places in South America to go on vacation it has so many things to do and also because everything is much cheaper than other countries nearby like Brazil or Ecuador (although these would also be good choices).

The metro area’s population reached 2 million inhabitants for the first time, on January 1st 2017 following several years of steady growth thanks to massive migration from rural areas into urban centers throughout Colombia during the late 20th Century through the early 21st Century.

Salt Cathedral of Zipaquira

This cathedral is truly a unique experience. It’s located in the town of Zipaquirá, about 20 miles outside of Bogota. This church was built by miners as a tribute to their patron saint, Our Lady of Charity, and it’s nothing short of awe-inspiring. The cathedral is carved into a salt mine that reaches over 70 meters below ground level (230 feet). The ceilings are curved like those found in other underground tunnels and caves, but here you can see the walls perfectly smooth from all angles because they were left untouched by hand tools during construction the only tool used was dynamite!
