Antarctica, The “White Continent,” Will Be My Next Big Adventure!

White Continent

“Antarctica, the “White Continent, ” is my next big adventure! “. This week I’m leaving for Antarctica. I’ve been preparing for these days for the past six months. I have to admit that it wasn’t easy since I had to learn how to stand up in a sled and ski in really thin snow. I’ve never imagined that one day I will travel thousands of miles by land, sea, and ice. But here I am now. My bags are packed and my mind is set on the most exciting adventure of my life. I can’t wait to see Antarctica with my own eyes and experience the harsh climate there: the snow, the wind, and the cold.

I am going to the South Pole with a company called Antarctic Logistics & Expeditions (ALE), based in Ushuaia, Argentina, which is about 800 miles away from my hometown of Bariloche. The journey will take us about two weeks. I start my travel in Chile, then we will cross the Straits of Magellan and sail all the way south to the Ross Sea, Antarctica.

It’s going to be a great experience and I look forward to sharing it with you! For more information visit http://www.antarcticale.com/index.html
